I was browsing some pages today when I came across a link for From Here to Awesome. It's sort of a way for Sundance Film Festival "Rejects" to have a second chance at being seen. When you go to the website, there is a thing at the top that lists all of the films, and it randomly chooses a film to show up first. I thought that viewers would be able to watch these films online. I can't lie, this was most of the reason I went to the website in the first place. Alas, each film's page features only a short video of its creators speaking about the film itself. Not bad, but still not what I was expecting.

Moonshine was not the random film to pop up when I opened the link. Instead, a boring, badly-animated stop-motion film was. My lack of interest prompted me to scroll to the right, where I found Moonshine. After watching the director's introduction, I decided this was a film I would be interested in seeing. The guy was only 19 when he wrote the film, 20 when he shot it in his hometown with help from the entire city, and 21 when it hit Sundance. Pretty incredible. He spoke so maturely and confidently about his intentions that it was really hard to believe he was a day younger than 30.

If you're a fan of vampires, horror and the like, please support this young director and his film by going to the links below. Roger Ingraham is definitely someone to keep your eye on.
